​Transition from active clinical practice to consultative practice and locum tenens

After 46 years in the clinical practice of medicine and surgery of the foot and ankle Dr. Marasco is taking his professional insight and practical experience in a new direction. As of October 20, 2022 his active clinical practice has transitioned to a consultative practice and locum tenens,  focusing his decades of experience on several key areas through his platform at Footache.com:

 

  • Standard of Care Consultations: Providing expert insight, case reviews, and evaluations regarding the standard of care for specialty medicine and surgery of the foot and ankle.

  • ​Development and moderating ASSURANCE - A Web-Based ​series designed to improve patient understanding of the foot and ankle, treatment options and the importance of informed care.

  • Utilization Review & Quality Assurance: Using his certified status in healthcare quality management (CHCQM) to review medical necessity and care quality.

  • Locum Tenens & Temporary Coverage: Offering specialized, short-term clinical coverage for other practices and healthcare facilities.

  • Student Mentorship: Remaining actively engaged in guiding and mentoring the next generation of podiatric students and medical professionals.
